Testimonials
I have been seeing Lori for massage and Myofascial release for almost two years now. I initially came in with chronic low back pain and tight muscles along my spine and neck. Every visit, Lori made me feel so well cared for and masterfully decreased my symptoms. Since I started seeing her, I’ve experienced a huge shift in my mind-body connection. I believe that her help in calming down my back pain was instrumental in me beginning to live inside my body, not just my head, and was an impetus for taking ownership of my physical state through exercise and movement. I now feel good in my body for the first time in my adult life. Beyond the physical healing, I experienced emotional healing through Lori’s safe touch. I feel like a different person.
I feel very, very lucky to have a chance to work with Lori. Her work on me was haute couture of physical therapy. Each time, she really listened and fixed the exact problems that I described. She provided truly customized sessions that were incredibly effective. After a few months, friends in my dance community started commenting on my increased mobility and extension. Lori not only helped me alleviate pain from my shoulders, hips, and back but also guided me to discover the root cause of my problems. I had many eye-popping moments after sessions: Lori’s work made me feel that contrary to the popular belief, it is possible to return adults’ bodies back to the original well aligned state. I am 42, but sessions with her made me feel like my body now has the learning capability of a 12 -year old. Lori is the best physical therapist I have ever met!
I knew the first time I went to Lori I had found an exceptional practitioner of healing arts. She is a great listener with a tremendous arsenal of knowledge & skills. She is very professional yet very relaxed and easy to talk to. Her years of experience as a physical therapist and massage therapist are very apparent in both her wonderful sense of touch and her ability to assess your needs. I spent many years being the caregiver for people in pain and various states of disability. It’s never been easy for me to be on the other side of that equation but Lori’s easy and peaceful demeanor sure helps.
Lori’s breadth of experience in multiple modalities means she always knows just what to do to relieve my “pain of the week.” She approaches each session with thought and care, getting to the root of my discomfort, gently and thoroughly relieving it, and then recommending ways to avoid a recurrence or strengthen a weakness. Each session is a gift, an interlude of harmony from which I always leave feeling rejuvenated and reenergized.
Lori is a wonderful massage therapist. She is experienced, intuitive, caring, and professional. I have seen her regularly for over 12 years and she has reliably provided me with relief and relaxation. I have received massage work from many other people over the years, and I think Lori excells in what she does. I highly recommend her for a massage!
I have had the pleasure of receiving massage and myofascial release from Lori over the course of many years. Her style is eclectic and holistic as she incorporates a variety of massage techniques. She creates a relaxing and soothing atmosphere with voice, music, and hands. The effect is of total relaxation and pain relief, without the exhaustion, beaten up feeling, or soreness that I have experienced with other therapists. I highly recommend her for your next massage!
I saw Lori Batcheller as a therapist for a neck injury. I love that she is a PT, but also does craniosacral and energy work. After the first session my pain was significantly reduced. I continued to see Lori and felt better after each session-the pain resolved completely. I highly recommend this sweet and caring practitioner as she addresses the whole body, soul and mind
Lori is an amazing therapist. Her hands just know exactly where to go and what to do. She also has all kinds of great tips to help keep me going between sessions. Her background in PT I feel really makes a difference and is what really sets her apart. That and her background in Yoga. She is just truly amazing.
